MCCOOK - An inmate who escaped from Lincoln County Detention last Wednesday has been captured.

In a news release from The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, authorities say 27-year-old William Butrick the Second was caught in Red Willow County on Saturday.

Police say Butrick escaped last Wednesday after not returning from a counseling appointment.

Official say it's protocol that inmates are released for counseling.

Butrick's original charges included driving under suspension, probation violation and possession of a controlled substance.

He will be taken back to the Lincoln County Detention Center in North Platte.
