Friday Night Fire In Beatrice
Beatrice Firefighters battled a structure fire Friday night just shortly after 8:00pm. The Beatrice Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at 2111 Arapahoe Trail in Beatrice. Upon arriving at the scene firefighters discovered a structure fully engulfed in flames.
According to the fire department, an individual was working on a vehicle when he spilled gas on the engine starting a fire which quickly spread to the structure.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control and were able to leave the scene shortly after midnight.
A State Fire Marshall’s office investigator was called in to investigate the blaze.
Approximately $20,000 in damage was done to the property and an additional $30,000 in damage to the contents in the building.
No injuries were reported from last nights fire.
