SIDNEY, Neb. — A Sidney woman was arrested Saturday night after Cheyenne County deputies responded to a report of a drunk driver east of Potter-Dix High School at approximately 9:16 p.m.

Cheyenne County Sheriff Adam Frerichs said the call came in after a vehicle had driven into a ditch near Highway 30 and County Road 32. The driver was reported as belligerent but alert and walking around outside the vehicle, which was inoperable.

Deputies identified the driver as 28-year-old Kylee Lews of Sidney. A roadside investigation determined she was intoxicated. Authorities also discovered Lews was operating the vehicle on a suspended license.

She was arrested and booked on charges of driving under the influence and driving under suspension.

The vehicle, a silver Hyundai, was towed from the scene by Little Tornado Towing. The case remains under investigation.
