Lincoln Street Construction Nears Completion

Progress continues to be made on Lincoln street in Beatrice from 25^th to 27^th street.

Beatrice Mayor Bob Morgan says reconstruction work has been moving along and is on schedule.

“Most of the roadway is pretty well getting done. There was some weather in there that slowed things down but I definitely know that it will be open before school opens. Being open and done maybe two different things. But as far as the road surface and lanes they will be open probably in a couple of weeks.  There might be some sidewalks that need to be done but that’s going to be a nice improvement for those couple of blocks" says Mayor Morgan.

Fresh concrete was being poured earlier this week. While speaking on KWBE’s “Ask The Mayor” program he thanked the homeowners in that area for their patience while crews work on the project.
