SPRINGFIELD, NEB. - Platteview knocked off Beatrice 28-14 on Friday night, handing the Orangemen their second loss of the season.

Stanford commit and Trojans tight end Reiman Zebert was contained for most of the contest, but made a 27 yard reception on the first play of the game to lead Platteview to an opening drive score when Logan Grosdiddier found Thomas Tagel on a 23 yard touchdown reception.

Betarice's lone first half score was a 28 yard touchdown run for John Riesen, who converted his first score of the year, on his first touch of the game. Trojans running back Brandon Bills found the end zone before the half, as the Trojans led 15-8 at the break.

Beatrice was outscored 13-0 in the third quarter, but Connor Hayden found the end zone on a 12 yard pass from Boston Crawford. However, Crawford threw two picks and fumbled once to stall out potential Beatrice scoring drives.

Beatrice falls to 1-2 and hosts York next Friday.
