NORFOLK - The Northeast CC Hawks snap a two game losing streak after defeating the Central CC Columbus Raiders at home 68-53.

The Hawks jumped out to an early lead, in front by as many as 12 points in the first half. 

The Raiders answered by going on a 13-0 run and taking a 28-27 lead nearing the end of the second quarter.

Northeast managed to hop back into a four point lead before the break, 32-28.

The Hawks dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Raiders 25-13 and held on the beat their feisty rival 68-53.

Northeast was led by Allison Richards with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Clara Garrote scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, followed by Amber Lawson, who finished with 12 points.

Central CC Columbus saw good performances from Aubry Saleapaga, who scored 20 points. Nikie Nelson finished with a double-double, 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Northeast improves to 11-14, while Central drops to 4-23
