EWING - The Summerland girls' basketball team is heading into the postseason with a lot of momentum.

The Bobcats dominated early, using their stifling defense to roll to a 57-36 home win over Lutheran High Northeast on Friday.

Bobcat senior Adyson Mlnarik wasted no time getting going. The second-leading scorer in the state of Nebraska scored 14 points in the first quarter, and 21 in the first half, helping the Bobcats build a 23-point lead at the break.

Summerland ends the regular season 16-5. They'll open their sub-districts on Tuesday against Neligh-Oakdale. Lutheran High Northeast finishes 4-17. They play Osmond/Randolph in a sub-district play-in on Monday.
