Bravettes pull away from Cardinals with strong second half

ALBION - The Battle Creek Bravettes are consistently finding ways to win.
That was no different on Friday night when Battle Creek matches up with Boone Central.
The Bravettes traveled to Albion with a 12-3 record and looked to add another win in the column when facing a 7-8 Boone Central squad.
The first quarter started off slow for both teams, but Battle Creek did take the slight edge, leading 7-2 after one.
Boone Central did an excellent job at grabbing offensive rebounds, but struggled to turn them into points. Meanwhile Battle Creek was able to slash and score successfully.
The Bravettes lead 18-6 at halftime and started the third quarter hot, pulling away from the Cardinals and leaving nothing in doubt.
Battle Creek picks up the 40-20 win over Boone Central to move to 13-3 on the season, while Boone Central drops to 7-9.
Sami Wemhoff excelled with a 15 point performance. Jaid Wehrle was also a difference maker inside, scoring 10 points.
For Boone Central, freshman Addy Hedlund lead with 7 points, followed by Ava Duerksen and Kailey Patzel with 5.
