WISNER - Josh Rojas punched in 3 TDs and Braden Feddern had a game for the ages as Lutheran High Northeast walloped Wisner-Pilger 40-12 to start the season.

Feddern starred in every phase of the game, hauling in two touchdown catches (including a 72-yarder), picking off a pass and returning a fumble for a score, and booting half a dozen touchbacks.

The game started off as a defensive stalemate with a scoreless first quarter, but Eagles QB Landon Johnson changed all that on the first play of the second period, with a scoring strike to Feddern. A Rojas TD and another scoring pass from Johnson to Feddern, and Lutheran High was staked to a 20-0 halftime lead.

Two more Rojas TDs and Feddern's defensive score helped the Eagles win going away, 40-12. The Gators' Jaxon Knoell filled in admirably at QB for the injured Walker Ott, leading Wisner-Pilger on two scoring drives, including a 22-yard TD scamper.

Lutheran High (1-0) is on the road again next week at Twin River, while Wisner-Pilger (0-1) travels to Layerl-Concord-Coleridge.
