Kissinger leads Ashland-Greenwood past Sidney in C-1 quarters
LINCOLN, Neb. — Ashland-Greenwood got 16 points from Brooks Kissinger and coasted to a 52-28 win over Sidney on Wednesday afternoon.
The victory puts the defending champion Bluejays in the Class C-1 semifinals for the second straight season.
A-G never trailed on the way to the win. They built a nine-point cushion after one quarter and led by 17 at halftime. After allowing just one point in the third quarter, A-G surrendered some fourth-quarter threes but maintained a comfortable lead.
The Bluejays will play Ogallala in the semifinals on Friday at 10:45 a.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The game will be televised on News Channel Nebraska.
