GREELEY - Tuesday night was the kind of night where nothing could go wrong for the Humphrey St Francis Flyers, taking care of business against the Central Valley Cougars 65-29 in the girls game and 71-37 in the boys.

The havoc-inducing duo of Emma and Hannah Baumgart were the initial catalyst in the Flyer's success, scoring, passing and stealing points away from Central Valley.

Hannah Baumgart had a tied team high 12 points, while Emma Baumgart finished with 10.

After a tighter first quarter, Humphrey St Francis amped up the pressure and broke open a 40-16 lead at the half. Isabelle Preister was getting her share of chances on the low post, where she finished with 11 points and a double-double.

Karly Kessler had a complete game, scoring 12 points and setting up her teammates for opportunities.

Central Valley was led by Lexi Johnson and Katie Oakley, both whom scored 8 points each.

Humphrey St Francis improves to 16-4, while Central Valley falls to 6-11.

The boys game was within two points at the end of the first quarter, a back and forth battle where neither team could grab an advantage.

Central Valley was knocking down shots and keeping the Humphrey St Francis offense at bay, until the Flyers found their wings in the second quarter.

The Flyers hopped out to a 22-5 run throughout the second quarter, shutting down any source of Cougar life. The lead was enough to keep Central Valley from making a rally, as the Flyers snagged win number 12 on the year.

Jaden Kosch scored 24 points in the game, thanks to a crisp jump shot that continued to propel Humphrey St Francis.

Freshman Carter Wessel also proved to be a deadly scorer, adding 14 points with three triples, adding to his impressive 40% three-point percentage.

Boston Wood scored 9 for Central Valley, all via the three-point shot. Zaden Wolf found his momentum in the second half, racking up all 8 of his points there.

The Humphrey St Francis Flyers snap a two-game losing streak with the win and move to 12-6, while Central Valley Cougars drops to 6-9.
