NORFOLK - The Norfolk Catholic girls basketball team finally came out on the winning end of a close game on Friday.

The 4-5 Knights had lost two straight games by a total of seven points, before breaking through with a 36-33 win over Battle Creek.

Norfolk Catholic's defense held the Bravettes to just 11-of-41 shooting. The Knights were also dominant on the glass, out-rebounding Battle Creek 31-17.

Now 5-5 on the year, Norfolk Catholic next travels to Scotus Central Catholic on Tuesday, while Battle Creek (5-5) will try to bounce back the same night against West Point-Beemer.
