HARTINGTON, Neb. -- Two high school girls basketball players in Nebraska joined the 1,000-point club on the same night, separated by only about 40 miles.

Niobrara/Verdigre's Josilyn Miller eclipsed 1,000 career points early in her junior season, doing so on a putback in the first half against Creighton on Saturday.

Standing at 5'7", the junior finished with 26 points in the Cougars' win. It's the 23rd time she's finished with at least 20 points in a game.

Not to be outdone, Cedar Catholic's Makenna Noecker also made it to 1,000 career points on Saturday in Hartington. The senior made the milestone with 21 points on the Trojans' win over Omaha Roncalli.

Nocker reached 1,000 points despite missing her entire sophomore season due to injury.
