The Monthly Performance Award acknowledges other criteria as well as achievement.

These criteria are:

1. Superior academic performance, (or) dramatic improvement of classroom work, G.P.A., or attitude toward learning.

2. Exceptional work effort toward a particular class project,

3. Outstanding contribution toward to the class,

4. Leadership exhibited in the class/school,

5. Citizenship emphasized and modeled,

6. Service to school.

Recognized for the November 2022 Performance Awards are:

7th Grade – Jelena Miller: Jelena Miller has been nominated as the 7th grade student of the month for November. We find Jelena to be a very positive student who always strives to do her best. The accountability she demonstrates in the classroom sends out a very positive message to other students and to her teachers. Jelena is always ready to help other students and always does so in a very encouraging manner. She leads by example and is an outstanding student. Jelena is the daughter of Justin Franzen and Kelsey Hauge.

8th Grade – Grahm Santero: One aspect of being a Red Raider is being respectful to all students and staff that work at the school, and Grahm does this. It doesn’t matter who that individual is. He greets each staff member everyday and is willing to help every student on a subject that they are struggling in. He is also willing to come in and help teachers if there is something that needs to be done. Grahm always has a positive attitude while he is at school and that positivity is contagious amongst the students.

Grahm is the son of Trent and Amy Santero.

9th Grade – Zechariah Roggasch: Our 9th grade student of the moth is Zechariah Roggasch. Zech works well with others, communicates with teachers when he will be absent, advocates for himself and keeps others on task during class.

Zech is the son of Tasha and Dave Roggasch. He is involved in football, wrestling and track. At school, he enjoys spending most of his time in the wrestling room. Zech is undecided on his future plans.

10th Grade – Carli Black: Carli Black was nominated as student of the month for the sophomore class because she is an independent worker, she has improved tremendously from last year. She keeps up on her homework, even with her extra-curricular activities.

Carli is the daughter of Amie and Trevor Black. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, track, FCCLA, Unified Raiders, 4-H and her church youth group. During the summer months she works for her parents’ business. Some of her hobbies are hunting and taking part in 4-H. Carli’s future plans are to attend Western Nebraska Community College for her first two years and then find a college that is best fit for her.

11th Grade – Talissa Tanquary: Student of the month for our Junior class is Talissa Tanquary. Talissa has a positive attitude, is a hard worker and she shows great leadership. Talissa is never afraid to challenge herself and improve her skills.

Rich and Elise Tanquary are her parents. They enjoy watching Talissa compete in Cross Country, Track, JTOH, NHS, mentoring and Unified Raiders. She also enjoys running, reading, drawing, biking and helping her parents with their painting business. Talisssa would like to continue her running career in college as she prepares to work in the medical field.

12th Grade – Jesse Cortney: Senior student of the month is Jesse Cortney. Jesse was nominated because he has a strong work ethic, is organized and stays on top of his work. he always has a positive attitude.

Jesse is the son of Robert and Casey Cortney. He is involved in Danz Team, piano lessons, Show Choir, Choir President, Teammates, Unified Raiders and Upper Room Youth Group. Jesse hopes to further his education with a business degree and a minor in dance.
