In a statement released at about 8:45 a.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 13, all Cheyenne County roads are closed due to the storm.

"Effective at 8:30 a.m. this morning after conversing with our county highway superintendent Doug Hart, we have made the decision to close all of the county roads in Cheyenne County effective immediately," Sheriff Adam Frerichs said in a written statement.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation reports Interstate 80 is closed westbound from North Platte, U.S. Highway 385 is closed and U.S. Highway 30 is closed to Pine Bluffs, Wyo. Additionally, Nebraska 19 from the Colorado state line north to U.S. Highway 30 is deemed impassable and closed; links 17 B, C and E are also impassable. 

Nebraska 27 in the Oshkosh area is also closed.

Highway 71 from U.S. Highway 30 about one mile north of Kimball to three miles south of Scottsbluff is closed.

In Bridgeport, Nebraska 88 has moved from impassable to closed.
