On Wednesday night, the Thunderbolts from Lincoln Pius X took the Lincoln East Spartans to the very last set and come up short.

Tonight, they bounced back from the hard fought loss and took down a tough Fremont Tiger team in three sets

After a competitive first few points for both the Bolts and the tigers, Pius X found some rhythm, thanks to a spark from Keeligh Knobbe, who had multiple aces and kills throughout the first two sets.

Adison Markowski and Lanie Brott were all over the place for Lincoln Pius X as well, but most notably, sophomore Faith Venable led the way for the Bolts.

The Thunderbolts stunted the Fremont Tigers, even with a solid outing from the Class A leader in kills, Matthea Dalton.

Lincoln Pius X proved to be too strong for Fremont with set victories of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-15 and gaining momentum toward Districts.

Lincoln Pius X (21-12) is the #2 seed in Class A-7 and will take on #3 Lincoln Southeast on October 25th.

For Fremont, they drop to 20-8 and are the #2 seed in Class A-5 with a matchup against #3 Bellevue East.
