The Norfolk Panthers and Fremont Tigers brought back their rivalry on Thursday night and it had everything a fan could want. Big plays, close finishes and suspense - maybe a little too much suspense.

With just under 11 minutes to play, Fremont's Hudson Cunnings found Jackson Cyza at the goal-line for a game tying touchdown. Just minutes after, the lightning would no longer be staved, as the officials called a 30-minute lightning delay.

But with the impending lightning and rain continuing to fall, the decision was made to postpone the finish to tomorrow at 3 PM, according to Norfolk Public Schools AD, John Erwin.

Earlier in the game, Norfolk's only touchdown came after a Fremont fumble. Five plays after the turnover, Kaden Ternus found Hudson Waldow for a 7 yard touchdown.

Jake Licking and Issac Rezac also came up with interceptions for the Panther defense in the first half, stunting any kind of Tiger drive.

That was before a late-third quarter mistake, where Norfolk's field goal attempt was all for not, after a high snap over CJ Hoffman's head gave the ball to Fremont at midfield.

They then scored the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter.

When play resumes tomorrow afternoon, Norfolk's offense will take the field with only 10:41 seconds remaining in the game.
