CRETE - Special teams is a crucial part of football - Doane added further proof of that on Saturday night.

Kelen Meyer would make four field goals for the win and the defense would make some huge stops on the final drive to lead the Tigers past Concordia. Meyer also hit the game winner with 1:21 remaining from 47 yards out.

It was also the first win for Wilber-Clatonia graduate Mike Pulliam who earned the starting role under center earlier this week.
