Eastern Wyoming College welcomes new president

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Eastern Wyoming College holds a formal reception to welcome their new president Dr. Jeffry D. Hawes.

He was welcomes at the college on July 20th in the CTEC Commons area on the Torrington Campus.

Hawes began his new role at EWC on July 1st with the Board of Trustees voting unanimously back on May 10th to appoint him to the position.

Hawes was raised on a family farm in Quincy, Michigan.

Dr. Jeffry D. Hawes Eastern Wyoming College new president says “I think the thing I’m looking forward to most is having a chance to connect with the students and really get a feel for what you know why the students are choosing EWC as a place to pursuit their education for both the career and transfer programs. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of facility staff and we have great facility and staff in all our program areas, but accessing what the students are looking for why did they chose the campus and call it home.”
