LINCOLN - A long-time Lincoln morning show host is returning to radio.
Matt Rydberg, known as personality Matt McKay, will be joining Beth Swihart to co-host the new morning show on the Christian station 98.9 TiM FM.
Rydberg was the morning show host for KFRX in Lincoln for nearly two decades. He has been out of radio since 2019 after pleading guilty to third degree domestic assault.
"It’s been over 3 years since I was last On-Air," Rydberg said in an emailed statement. "To be honest I didn’t think I would have the opportunity to do morning radio in Lincoln again. But..God had other plans."
TiM FM's new local morning show will kick off Monday, June 20 and air weekdays from 6 AM to 9 AM.
"Lincoln's #1 radio personality is coming back to morning radio and it's only fitting that he would make his radio return on the station that believes in second chances," TiM FM Founder Brad Leggett stated in a press release.
The release goes on to say that Matt McKay and Beth will entertain Lincoln with fun, games and entertainment from a Christian point of view.
107.9/98.9 TiM is a Lincoln non-profit, listener supported positive hits radio station owned by DUO Ministries founded by Brad and Carol Leggett.
