Richardson and Lee jump to the top at the Nebraska State Track Meet

OMAHA-The Nebraska State Track and Field meet's final day started off with gold medals for two River Country student athletes.
In the Class D Girls Triple Jump, Macy Richardson of Sterling claimed the state title as she won with a jump of 36ft 7 inches. Richardson then won the girls 100m hurdles with a blistering time of 15.17 seconds claiming back-to-back titles in that event. The Sterling Lady Jet will bring home four medals total as she placed 2nd in the 300m hurdles and 3rd in the girl's long jump.

In the Class C Boys Long Jump, Lourdes Central Catholic's Beau Lee earned his second gold medal in as many events sweeping the long and triple jump. His state championship jump, measured 22ft 2 and 3/4 inches. Congratulations to all the River Country student athletes who competed at the state meet.
