FIRTH - A longtime head coach at Norris is stepping down.

Mark Hagerman has resigned as Head Girls Basketball Coach following his 21st season at the helm of the program.

Below are the highlights of the Norris Girls Basketball Program under Coach Hagerman’s leadership:

  • 316 career wins
  • 17 times ranked in the Class B Top 10 End of Season Rankings
  • 12 State Tournament Appearances including 13 State Tournament Wins
  • 4 Class B State Runners-up (2013, 2015, 2017, 2021)
  • Class B 3rd Place (2014)
  • 9 Eastern Midlands Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships
  • 8 District Championships & 5 District Runners-up

“I want to thank the Norris administration for allowing me to guide the Girls Basketball program over the past 21 years," Hagerman said. "It has been an awesome journey and one I will never forget. I also would like to thank all current and former players as well as current and former assistant coaches for the dedication and hard work they have put into the Norris Girls Basketball program. Lastly, thank you to my family that has allowed me the opportunity and sacrifices to coach over the years.”

Mark Hagerman will continue to teach Middle School Physical Education at Norris School District #160. A search for his replacement will begin immediately.
