LINCOLN - Lincoln Southwest battled Fremont in the Class-A girls basketball title on Friday night and it's the Tigers going home champions for the first time ever.

However, it was not easy. The Silverhawks came to play, holding the Tigers to just 18 points in the first half -- a group who can put up 60-70 points with relative ease.

Iowa commit Taylor McCabe would find her groove, she had a game-high 16, as the Tigers would use a big fourth quarter to score the win.

McCabe and senior Macy Bryant led the way for Fremont with 16 points and nine points respectively. Southwest was led in scoring by Freddie Wallace with nine.
