LINCOLN, NE — #2 Omaha Skutt was in control from the start and pulled away in the second half to down #3 Adams Central 55-31 in the Class B semifinals.

The victory puts the Skyhawks in the state title game against #1 Elkhorn North at 1:00 on Saturday. The contest will serve as a rubber match between the two powerhouses, who split a pair of games in the regular season. This will be Skutt’s first appearance in a championship game since 2004.

The Skyhawks and Patriots traded buckets in the first quarter, with Skutt taking a two-point after eight minutes. The Skyhawks extended their advantage to five at half before exploding for 18 points in the third quarter. They coasted the rest of the way to a 24-point victory.
