In the capital city tonight, it was the hometown Lincoln High Links getting the sweep over the visiting Norfolk Panthers in both the girls and the boys games.

In the girls game, the Links got out to a hot start, putting up 14 points in the first quarter, compared to the Panther's 5. The second quarter was much of the same, as the Links increased their lead to 19 at the break.

It was difficult for Norfolk to overcome the early deficit and the Panther's would fall on the road to the Links, 60-31.

For Lincoln High, J'unti Franklin finished her night with 14 points, while Briauna Robinson was right behind her with 12 points on the evening.

For Norfolk, Tessa Gall and Erin Schwanebeck tied with 9 points each for the team lead.

Lincoln High improves to an impressive 10-2 record on the year, with both losses both coming within single digits. Norfolk drops to 3-10, but is still 3-2 in its last 5 games.

In the boys contest, scoring was early and often for both squads in the first half, with teams trading back big buckets. Lincoln High hit a few more shots from beyond the arc and took a crucial 9 points lead into the half.

Norfolk was able to rally and cut the score within 4, but the offense was too strong from the Links and Lincoln High was able to secure the 65-52 win on its home court.

Each of the Link's scorers this evening knocked down atleast one three in an impressive shooting affair. However, it was Vincent Garrett Jr. who led the way with 23 points for the Links.

Norfolk's Kamari Moore and Jack Borgmann both finished with 14 points each in the defeat.

Lincoln High wins it's third game out of the last five and improves to 3-10 on the year, while Norfolk drops to 2-11.
