Digital tickets only at Class D6 state football championship game in Kearney

The Nebraska School Activities Association announced Monday the Potter-Dix football team will be the "visiting team" when the #1 Coyotes (11-0) play #2 Cody-Kilgore (11-0) in the Class D6 state championship game Friday in Kearney.

KEARNEY - The Nebraska School Activities Association announced Monday the Potter-Dix football team will be the "visiting team" when the #1 Coyotes (11-0) play #2 Cody-Kilgore (11-0) in the Class D6 state championship game Friday in Kearney.

Fans wanting to attend the game at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Kearney need to purchase tickets online. Online tickets must be on your phone, either through the GoFan app or your email, for redemption. Paper tickets will not be accepted.

Potter-Dix fans will be seated in the east stadium with parking available on the west and east side of Cope Stadium. Balloons, signs, banners, pompoms and spirit towels are permitted in the stadium. For more fan information, click here.

Neither the Cowboys, nor the Coyotes, have won a state football title. Cody-Kilgore was runner-up in 2016. Potter-Dix is appearing in their first ever state championship game. Dix won the 11-man state championship in 1971.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. CST. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on 987 The Big Boy, News Channel Nebraska TV, newschannelnebraska.com and the NCN app.
