FAIRBURY, NE — The Fairbury Rotary Club is thanking the community for helping to fund its tank refurbishing project.
Doug Lottman and Rick Siebert presented checks worth a total of $4000 to the Rotary Club on Thursday, which was Veterans Day.
The donations bring the Rotary Club up to its $9,000 fundraising goal.
The tank project is complete except for the installation of signs at each of the three tanks. The group already paid to have the tanks power washed, repainted, and the surrounding areas cleaned up. The tanks are located at the VFW, Fairbury City Museum and City Park.
Fairbury Rotary President Lana Likens says she is pleased with the community’s support and tickled that people want to support area veterans.
