Chadron High Senior Tatum Bailey officially signed her letter of intent on Wednesday to compete in track and field at Colorado State University.

Bailey is a two-time state qualifier and a three time medalist. She placed 4th in the Class B high jump as both a Freshman and a Junior and grabbed 4th in the triple jump this past May.

Bailey also tied a school record in March when she cleared 5’ 6” in the high jump at the annual CSC Indoor meet.

Her Sophomore season was scrapped due to the COVID pandemic.

Chadron head track coach Blakelee Hoffman said of Bailey, “I’m so excited for Tatum to have the opportunity to compete at CSU! We know what she can do as an athlete and look forward to following her at the next level.”

She will meet up with former Chadron State head track coach Ryan Baily who departed the Eagles in 2015 to then become the head assistant coach for the Rams. After one year away, Bailey is back and coaching jumpers.
