Multiple people hospitalized, one child airlifted after Norfolk accident

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Multiple rescue units responded to a Tuesday afternoon crash at 13th Street and Eisenhower Avenue in Norfolk.
According to Norfolk Police, a woman and three children were in one vehicle, an SUV. A man was the lone occupant in the other vehicle, a pickup. The pickup driver was not hospitalized, but all occupants of the SUV were taken to Faith Regional Hospital.
One of the children was stabilized, then transferred to an Omaha hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries.
The initial call came in to report the accident shortly before 3:30 p.m.
NCN's reporter on the scene noted that at least two vehicles had significant damage. A third vehicle without damage was also stopped near the scene. Several witnesses were interviewed, and the accident remains under investigation.
