Wakefield approves $3.8 million contract for new sports stadium
Student-athletes at a northeast Nebraska high school could soon see a new athletic facility.

WAKEFIELD, Neb. – Student-athletes at a northeast Nebraska high school could soon see a new athletic facility.
During Monday night's Wakefield Board of Education meeting, the school district officially signed a nearly $3.8 million contract for a new football and track stadium. The new facility would be built on school grounds.
The contract was signed with Nemaha Sports Construction from Lincoln.
