Two juveniles escaped justice center, found, taken into custody
Two juvenile detainees escaped from a juvenile justice center in the metro area.
SARPY COUNTY, Neb. -- Two juvenile detainees escaped from a juvenile justice center in the metro area.
Authorities say that two juvenile detainees from the Sarpy County Juvenile Justice Center escaped from the recreation area by scaling a fence.
Officials say the escape was witnessed by a JJC employee who chased the two until they crossed a creek and it was no longer safe for the employee to pursue.
Authorities say the two juveniles, 14- and 15-years-old, were found hiding in a culvert by Dep. Brad Victor and taken into custody with the assistance of Papillion Police Officers Jake Davis and Jeb Christiansen.
Officials say the two were located a half mile from the juvenile justice center.
