OMAHA, Neb. -- Authorities arrived to an accident in southeast Nebraska Friday evening.

Omaha police arrived to a crash at the on-ramp from JFK Northbound to I-80 Eastbound.

Officials said that when officers arrived, they found one person dead as a result of the crash.

The investigation revealed, due to high speeds a 2008 Ford F250 pickup was heading northbound on JFK to the on-ramp of I-80 east where he drifted off the road causing the pickup to roll.

The driver and only occupant, 32-year-old Luis Chavez, was declared dead at the scene by medics.

Authorities said high speed, alcohol use and not wearing his seatbelt were the primary factors in this crash.
