Serious crash closes Hwy 77 in Lincoln and leaves one dead

LINCOLN, Neb. -- One person is dead after a fatal car accident in eastern Nebraska. 

The Lincoln Police Department says the crash happened on Highway 77 in Lincoln Wednesday morning near Rosa Parks Way. 

Police say a pedestrian was hit by a car and was killed. 

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
