Irish stay dominant against HTRS, Tigers struggle against Lincoln Christian

FALLS CITY-It would be a Friday full of football at Jug Brown Stadium in Falls City.  The Irish of Falls City Sacred Heart and the Tigers of Falls City Public would both have games on a beautiful first day of October.

In Class D2 Falls City Sacred Heart would kick things off against HTRS in the early game at 2:30pm.  Unfortunately for the Titans it was all Irish from start to finish.  Falls City Sacred Heart would score 31 points in the first quarter alone.  However, HTRS would answer in the 2nd quarter with a 40 yard pass play from Leech to Knudson, but would trail at the half 52-6.  The Irish would finish the day with a 76-22, led by Jakob Jordan who had 4 touchdowns and over 150 yards rushing.  Falls City Sacred Heart moves to 5-1 on the year while HTRS falls to 2-4.

For the night cap it was a Class C1 match-up with Falls City Public against Lincoln Christian.  The Tigers would run into a dominant Crusaders team.  Falls City would only obtain three first downs in the game and those came late in the 2nd half. While Lincoln Christian didn't have a single passing yard, they were led by Luke Penrod who had 6 carries for 175 yards and 5 touchdowns.  The running game for Lincoln Christian was dominant against the Tigers which led to their 55-0 victory.  Lincoln Christian advances to 2-4 on the season while Falls City drops to 1-5.
