A northeast Nebraska woman will spend decades in prison for the stabbing death of a Norfolk man.

MADISON, Neb. -- A northeast Nebraska woman will spend decades in prison for the stabbing death of a Norfolk man.
25-year-old Latessa Thomas, of Niobrara, was sentenced in Madison County District Court on Friday. She was given 35-50 years in prison on amended charges of manslaughter and a weapons violation.
Officials say Thomas fatally stabbed 41-year-old Roger Saul in Norfolk last year.
Court documents show Saul's girlfriend told police that Saul and Thomas got into an argument and it escalated.
Thomas then reportedly pulled out a knife from a kitchen drawer and stabbed Saul in the neck.
She was given credit for 299 days served.
