VALLEY, Neb. -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for multiple counties in northeast Nebraska.

Under advisory are Colfax, Madison, Platte and Stanton Counties.

Shortly before 7:00 a.m., Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and three inches of rain have already fallen in some of the affected areas.

Some locations that could experience flooding include Clarkson, Leigh, Creston, Maple Creek Recreation Area, the Highway 15/32 junction and south of Stanton.
