'Starting to thrive': Coffee shop becomes part of Neligh's economic future
A new coffee shop has opened its doors, in the town of Neligh. The shop is called 'River Mill Coffee Company'.
It just opened Monday morning, and business is already booming.
"It was great. Steady flow all day long. I felt like we kept up with the flow hopefully. Lots of great feedback." added Rachael Barlow, Heather Veik, who are co-owners.
The town of Neligh has wanted a local coffee shop for years, and after talking with the Neligh Economic Development Office and they couldn't be happier it's finally a reality.
"We've been behind the ladies at the coffee shop since they came to us originally a year ago. The coffee's fantastic if you haven't tried it. Amazing atmosphere" said Lauren Sheridan-Simonsen, who is the Director of Economic Development in Neligh.
River Mill Coffee Company offers many different kinds of coffee and a variety of different food.
The owners are also hoping to install a drive-thru to the shop in the near future.
A new local coffee shop is just the beginning of what the town of Neligh hopes to accomplish with its economic future.
"I think it's really starting to thrive after last year with me coming in for the first time. I've seen so much growth start to take place. The community really came together and supported each other. Businesses supporting businesses," said Bri O'Brien, who is the Assistant Economic Director for Neligh.
The 'River Mill Coffee Company' is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am-2:30 pm, but will hopefully expand the hours in the near future when more employees come on board.
