One injured during shooting, unknown suspect

Officers received a call about a shooting Sunday morning in the metro area.

OMAHA, Neb. -- Officers received a call about a shooting Sunday morning in the metro area. 

Omaha Police first heard numerous gunshots north of 24th and Taylor around 3:35 a.m. 

Police say dispatch then received a call about a shooting at 24th and Ames Avenue. 

Authorities say the victim, 41-year-old, Krishna Johnigan was transported to CUMC - University Campus by a private vehicle. 

Police say they spoke with Johnigan and he told them he did not know who shot him. Johnigan's injury was not life-threatening. 

The is an ongoing investigation.
