Caregiver assaulted resident at Hands of the Heartland
A group home caregiver is facing charges of first-degree sexual assault and abuse of a vulnerable adult.

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- A group home caregiver is facing charges of first-degree sexual assault and abuse of a vulnerable adult.
The Sarpy County Attorney's Office says 38-year-old Kathryn Edgington, was a caregiver at Hands of the Heartland at the time of the alleged assault.
She's accused of assaulting one of the residents.
Jail records show she was booked just after midnight Tuesday into the Sarpy County Jail.
A spokesperson for Hands of the Heartland says Edgington is suspended and there is an ongoing investigation.
