NORFOLK -- The Paranormal Cirque has arrived in northeast Nebraska.

"People try to hide behind their hands," Manager and contortionist Ben Holland laughed at how much he enjoys audience reactions at the show. "But they end up peeking to look."

Holland believes their two-hour show is just the escape people need. "People really need something to forget the stress of work; or what someone said to them; or bad news on T.V.  - no offense!"

That's why they don't let any challenges close their curtains.

"We're the only entertainment event in the entire U.S. that didn't stop at all during the pandemic," Holland said.

Safety measures like masks helped keep things going.

Age limits are also enforced at this weekend's show in town: Anyone under 17 will need a guardian with an I.D., and those under 13 are prohibited.

Performers like Luis Soto enthused it helps ensure a good time for all.

"When I do a trick and the crowd goes 'woah' that's what I love the best," Soto, performer of the 'wheel of death' said.

The show also includes a girl who hangs by her hair, a storyline, and an extra scary entrance with surprises among other charms.

It all starts Thursday night at Sunset Plaza Mall and runs through Monday.
