HAY SPRINGS - Senior Jazlyn Smith had 10 kills and 7 ace serves as the Hay Springs volleyball team opened their season with a 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 16-14 win over Creek Valley on Friday at the Lister Sage in Hay Springs.

It was the first meeting with Creek Valley in the last five years.

Gabby Twarling also had a solid night at the net with 8 kills and Sam Toof had 15 set assists.

The Lady Hawks host Banner County on Tuesday.
