FULLERTON, Neb. -- One person is dead after a car accident in eastern Nebraska.

The Nance County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened Saturday night north of Fullerton.

Authorities say someone reported a car in a ditch and one person inside who was unresponsive.

Fullerton-area first responders were called, and 29-year-old Courtney Johnson of Belgrade, was taken to a local hospital where she later died. 

Johnson was taken to Albion Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. 

The Sheriff's Office said Johnson was the mother of three small children. 

This is an ongoing investigation. 

The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the accident.
