BRIDGEPORT - The Sheridan County Legion Baseball team erased a three-run deficit and eliminated Bridgeport from the Class C Area 7 Tournament, 12-7, Sunday night in Bridgeport. 

Trailing 6-5 in the top of the sixth, the Regulators stole the lead on a two-RBI single from Harley Bayne. Bayne finished 3-4, with a home run, a double and a single. He drove-in three runs and scored four times.

Sheridan County finished with 10 total hits. Along with Bayne, Junebug Walking and Tegan Snyder each collected multiple hits. Each player had two RBI's.

The Regulators put the game out of reach with four runs in the seventh inning. Bayne, Snyder and Walking all drove-in runs in the inning. 

The Bombers opened scoring in the first inning when Kolton Kriha drove-in a run. They would score three in the opening frame.

Jace Freeseman secured the win on the mound. He went six and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs on eight hits, while striking out eight and walking one.

Bridgeport tallied eight total hits. Jake Walleson and Larry Lofton each had two hits for the Bombers. Lofton drove-in three runs and scored a run. Walleson had a double and scored three times.

Sheridan County (8-12) will play Valentine in another elimination game Monday at 6 p.m. Valentine lost to Imperial in the tournament semi-finals, 14-6.

The Bombers finish the season with a 5-14 record.
