BRIDGEPORT - The Bridgeport Bombers are hosting the American Legion C7 Area Senior Tournament beginning on Friday, July 23rd through Tuesday, July 27th in Bridgeport.

It's the first time since 2001 that Bridgeport has hosted an Area Tournament.
Teams involved are Bridgeport, Carl Heath (Curtis), Hershland (Hershey/Sutherland), Imperial, Sheridan County, and Valentine.

Games get underway at 2:30 p.m. on Friday with #5 seed Carl Heath (Curtis) taking on #2 seed Valentine. #4 seed Hershland battles #3 seed Sheridan County at 5:00 p.m. followed by the #6 seed Bridgeport Bombers facing top-seeded Imperial at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is $5.00 for adults, students are $3.00 and Veterans get in free.

Class B Area 7 Tournament

The bracket is out for this weekend’s Class B Area 7 Senior Legion Tournament in Alliance.

The Chadron FNBO Senior Nationals have drawn the 4th seed and are set to play 3rd seeded Ogallala at 4:30 on Friday.

The nightcap features 2nd seeded and host Alliance against 5th seeded Sidney.

The first round bye goes to top seeded Gering, who will play the loser of Chadron and Ogallala on Saturday.

The Chadron/Ogallala winner will meet the Alliance/Sidney on Saturday night, with the Alliance/Sidney loser getting a bye to Sunday afternoon’s elimination game.

The B7 Area winner advances to next weekend’s state tournament in Crete.
