NORFOLK -- Warm ovens make for warm hearts.

In honor of their anniversary, White Mulberry Bakery in downtown Norfolk is collecting donations for the nonprofit Bright Horizons, which supports domestic abuse victims.

The store is enticing customers in with baked goods....asking for practical 'goods' like shampoo, silverware, or gift cards.

It was special for the bakery to choose a nonprofit that supports women.

"We are an all-female bakery and it's on our hearts to help women," Manager Haley Lidgett said.

The collection runs through Saturday.

"I'm so grateful the community can come together," said photographer/marketer/baker Rebekah McCaffrey.
