Post 8 Juniors one win away from championship game

NEBRASKA CITY- The Nebraska City Post 8 Juniors took the win against the Area 1 Beatrice Juniors Monday night by a score of 6-5 in the Class B1 Area Junior's Tournament
Beatrice got things moving in the second inning, when an error scored one run. Nebraska City took the lead with 3 runs in the 4th inning behind the bat of Keston Holman, grounding out but getting the RBI to lead off the scoring.
Then in the top of the seventh inning, Beatrice tied things up at five. Trevin Lang drove in one on a double.
It was Nebraska City that would prevail as they would score the winning run on pass ball.
Colton Snyder is credited with the victory for the Post 8 Juniors. The fireballer went one and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out three.
Holman started the game for Post 8. The pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over five and a third innings, striking out 13.
Tonight Nebraska City will face off against Plattsmouth, winner of the contest will move on to the championship game. Tonight's game will be at 8pm at Steinhart Park in Nebraska City.
