NORFOLK -- An art museum in northeast Nebraska is making a comeback after it shut down during the pandemic. The Norfolk Arts Center will welcome a new executive director to boost its community awareness and involvement.
Sherry Ruden will take the position in two weeks.
Marketing and Membership Coordinator Dustin Southworth said Ruden's priority will be publicizing the center.
"She has a background in marketing which will be interesting," he said, noting their need for more attention.
The public is invited to a farewell party for the previous director Wednesday at 5 p.m.
The center is also planning a food festival on August 20th from 4 to 8 p.m.
