Authorities say a man has died after drowning in a south central Nebraska lake. 

The Harlan County Sheriff's office says it happened Sunday evening at the Harlan County Lake.

The sheriff says the victim had been swimming, and then possibly became tired and drowned.

The body was found by Corps Rangers with sonar. 

The Oxford Fire/Dive and Rescue team was called in for the recovery several hours later. 

Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
