PLYMOUTH, NE - Sen. Tom Brandt is pursuing a second term in the Nebraska Legislature.

The 61 year-old Brandt is three years into his first term in the District 32 seat, which includes Fillmore, Jefferson, Saline, Thayer and southwest Lancaster County.

in 2018, Brandt defeated incumbent, Laura Ebke of Crete, to win the district seat.

According to a news release, the Republican from Plymouth will focus his reelection on property taxes, rights for gun owners, rural broadband, "pro-life" policies and rural economic development.

“I have accomplished a lot during my tenure in Lincoln and right now we have a historic opportunity to make our state stronger than ever as we recover and rebuild after the pandemic,” Brandt said. “My campaign will be about seeing my district through post COVID recovery and ensuring that our families and our economy come back better than before.”

Brandt says he is proud of his current work to help lower property taxes, increase school funding and strengthen the state economy.
