Summer School is in Session
School is back in session throughout the month of June, as Norfolk Public Schools start their summer school programs.

Norfolk Neb. -
Summer school has started for Norfolk Public Schools.
The program will last throughout the month of June and provide education for enrolled students. At the June 14 School Board Meeting, Director of Teaching and Learning Beth Nelson said feedback would be provided from both teachers and students throughout the month. This feedback will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the summer school program.
Director Nelson also noted how few teachers there were to provide education for the summer program. Nelson pointed this drop-off of volunteers to be an effect of COVID-19. Many people were unable to vacation or see family during the summer and many teachers may wish to do the same this year. So far the summer program has been "moving fast" and has not had any notable disruptions.
The summer school program will conclude on June 25, following a graduation ceremony taking place on June 24.
